When 15 members of your team will individually run 36 miles, climb and descend 295ft of rope and flip 96 tyres they will need a good feed and Cirencester’s Butts Farm Shop are happy to help. 7th Parachute Regiment Royal Horse Artillery REME Workshop are engaging in a physically and mentally challenging event to raise money for the Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineers - REME Charity and the Airborne Gunner Trust. As a collective, they are looking to run the distance from Merville Barracks, Colchester to the foot of Ben Nevis then climb and descend its height on a rope within a 24 hour period. As part of the challenge they will also flip 60 tyres each hour to commemorate the Regiment's 60th birthday. The event will take place in Merville Barracks; the home of 16 Air Assault Combat Team. To complete the event, 15 members of the Workshop will individually run 36 miles, climb and descend 295ft of rope and flip 96 tyres within the allocated 24 hours starting Tue 9 Nov 21. Participants will be limited to completing a 1.5 mile run, a 12.7ft rope climb and four tyre flips every hour, on the hour for 24.
